Head of Retail & eCommerce EMEA, Facebook
Sylvain Querné is Head of Retail & eCommerce Strategy for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He helps small businesses and large retailers and eCommerce companies make the most of what digital and the Facebook family of apps can do for them.
He was previously Head of Marketing to Facebook Italy. He was responsible to disseminate knowledge of the platform as a business tool to companies, partners, agencies and media centers, promoting its effectiveness and increasing brand awareness.
Sylvain joined Facebook at the beginning of 2014. He has 15 years of B2B, B2C Marketing and Sales experience. He has developed specific skills in several vertical segments such as Telco, Tech, Retail, eCommerce, automotive and insurance industry.
After a year’s experience as Lenovo’s Marketing Director, Sylvain has acquired over the years a deep knowledge of marketing and sales within companies of great importance on the market. He worked from 2008 to 2013 at Nokia, moving from Head of Digital to Key Account Manager. He has also worked in France and the UK for eBay, Canon Europe and Orsyp Software.
A French native speaker, Sylvain studied in Italy and abroad, first at the Polytechnic of Turin and then in Paris at the Léonard de Vinci Business School, obtaining a double degree in Industrial Engineering processes & Business.
